Recognition Training's Return on Investment

Many companies rely on recognition programs as their sole motivational tool.  The reality is most programs are designed only to impact a small fraction of the employee base.  The "Employee of the Month" program is one example.*

Recognition Training is an essential aspect of a company's recognition platform and should be implemented in conjunction with the program.  Coaching employees how to motivate and recognize others is the key to a thriving culture.  And it makes good business sense.

Research shows one of the most common reasons why people quit their jobs is due to a lack of recognition for their work.  Considering the high price of turnover, up to 50% of an employee's salary, the ROI for recognition training is quickly recouped.

Recognition Training is similar to the idea of giving people a fish to feed them for a day, versus teaching them to fish so they can eat for a lifetime.  The best investment an organization can make is in its people.
