Employee Recognition Surveys

Are you thinking about redesigning your recognition program or changing to new awards?  Administering a companywide survey is your first step in the process.  After all, the recognition program is for employees, so isn't smart and easier to ask them what they want, instead of guessing?

Employee Recognition Surveys are a valuable tool.   It is in a company's best interest to conduct one annually.

When the right questions are asked, surveys provide:

  •  candid feedback

  • a status check on the company culture

  • suggestions on how to improve morale and the program

  • and specific data on the effectiveness of your recognition initiatives that can help determine your program's ROI.

In addition to discovering your program's weaknesses (so you can improve them) it is important to verify your platform's strengths so you know what to continue.   Conducted annually, surveys measure progress over time and furnish data on recognition's value which helps justify the cost of the program to upper management.

Another benefit is increased loyalty.  Employees appreciate being asked for their opinion and feel empowered when sharing suggestions.

Since survey are conducted only once a year, it is important that it is done right.  (non-bias questions, straightforward process, integrated communications, high response rate, and accurate & timely results.)  It is recommended to team up with a qualified survey project manager to ensure your Employee Recognition Survey is a success.
