About Us The Effective Recognition Training Team is comprised of human resources professionals with several years of facilitation experience. Michelle (Gausselin) Nold is the executive director of Effective Recognition Consulting, a management training and consulting company located in Chicago, IL. Prior to launching her consulting practice in January 2000, Michelle was the manager of employee recognition at Ameritech Corporation. Her role was to manage and continually enhance the company’s recognition platform for 70,000 employees. She partnered with the CEO and Sr. Human Resources Vice President to create a culture that values and supports employee recognition. Michelle led a cross-functional team of 12 business unit recognition advocates, consulting on design, process, implementation, marketing communications, and measurement of their custom designed recognition programs. She was also responsible for the Chairman’s Award Program, the company’s highest honor. Michelle’s first role at Ameritech was with the Ameritech Institute, the HR department that drove cultural transformation and leadership development training initiatives. The Institute was modeled after General Electric’s leadership development center created by CEO, Jack Welch. The action learning environment proved to be a valuable developmental opportunity. She is actively involved with the National Association for Employee Recognition (NAER) and speaks at their national conferences. Effective Recognition Consulting articles have been featured in NAER publications, Successories’ Motivation Matters, and Incentive Magazine.
